Last Thursday night, local authorities in Tangiers prevented workers from entering the free industrial area all of a sudden, without prior notice and without any justifications.
The security forces prevented dozens of buses transporting workers from entering the regular area and forced them to return.
It seems that the closure decision is related to the neglect of some factories to the implementation of the recent decision of the local authorities to close industrial units until August 12, after the increase in the number of COVI-19 infections and deaths toll.
The closure decision was taken due to the worsening epidemiological situation day after day in the city, as industrial clusters were the cause of the high number of Coronavirus infections among the residents of the region.
