USA: LinkedIn, the Leading Job Creation Company, Planning to Lay Off Hundreds of Workers

The “LinkedIn” network, which is specialized in employment and professional communication announced its intention to lay off about 1.000 employees, representing 6% of the total employees of the network, at a time where the unemployment rate in the United States have reached 13%.

According to a report by the American News site US News, the outbreak disrupted global trade movement and caused the closure of thousands of commercial projects, while other companies were forced to grant leave to a large number of employees while pending recovery, which is the reason that the LinkedIn administration used a stimulus to carry out its layoffs.

LinkedIn CEO said in a note to the employees in the communication network that the job cuts will negatively affect the company’s sales and employment sectors, and pointed out that there are no more layoffs planned.

It should be noted that company employees who were laid off in the United States will receive a 10-week wage of end-of-service, and a year of health insurance under the Cobra program that allows people to extend the health care coverage they were receiving even after leaving their jobs. These workers will keep their jobs until August 21.

It is important to note that the LinkedIn network, which is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, is owned by Microsoft.
