Palestinian media sources reported that a number of workers were subjected to suffocation on Sunday morning after the Israeli occupation forces had repressed hundreds of Palestinian workers who were trying to enter their workplaces (located within the Green Line borders), through gaps in the blockade’s wall in the town of Pharaoh, south of Tulkarm Governorate.
According to the same sources, the occupation soldiers chased the workers who were trying to cross this wall and the separation fence near the towns of Habla, Qalqilya, and Pharaoh in Tulkarm.
The occupation soldiers targeted these workers with bullets and gas canisters, closed the gates and prevented them from reaching their workplaces.
According to the same news outlets, one of the workers said that the occupation soldiers fired gas and pepper gas bombs, which led to the suffocation of a large number of workers, while the vehicles that transport workers from both sides were pursued, both in the West Bank and inside the Green Line.
The occupation forces continued to target workers at these gates, and assaulted a number of them, which comes within a series of attacks that the occupation forces are constantly launching against citizens in different areas of West Bank cities and villages.
