A bus carrying workers at an industrial unit to fish in Safi overturned claiming the life of a pregnant worker and causing injuries of varying severity among 24 other employees.
In a statement to Channel Two website, the regional delegate of the Ministry of Health in Safi said that the accident killed one woman, while the other workers received the necessary treatments, and they left the hospital, except for four cases that are still under treatment.
The Regional Delegate of Health explained that the four patients were in stable condition, undergoing medical treatment.
This incident comes as a result of widespread trade union and human rights protests taking place in Morocco, following the outbreak of Coronavirus among workers in canning strawberries in the Tangier region and the escalation of demands for the protection of Moroccan workers.
