The Federation of Women’s Rights called for the protection of women working in agriculture and productive units from COVID-19, after a number of workers were infected with the Coronavirus in a strawberry harvest, in the Moroccan city of Quneitra, where the federation demanded the governor of Quneitra to urgently intervene , to take more measures to protect working women in the various industrial and agricultural sectors to reduce the outbreak of the Coronavirus and ensure safety conditions for them and their families.
The Federation also called for the safety of women workers as a priority in achieving economic profits, and thus stopping work in the estates, industrial and production units in which the pandemic appeared in the region through taking all measures and necessary penalties against operators, who have been tampering with the safety and lives of these women workers.
It is worth mentioning that the Coronavirus has infected dozens of workers in the strawberry factory in Lela Maymouna of Quneitra governorate, in which workers from the provinces of Quneitra and Larache work, where the number of infections exceeded 100 case in the past few days.
