The Jordanian National Aid Fund has announced that the fifth batch of cash support will be transferred to approximately 35.000 new families of daily workers starting Sunday, May 10, 2020.
In this context, the fund requested the families of daily workers to open their electronic wallets in order to receive letters of confirmation of support from the fund.
Financial support will include more than 190.000 workers, reaching nearly 200.000 before Eid al-Fitr.
In the same context, the Jordanian Ministry of Finance affirmed its commitment to fulfill all domestic and international obligations and to handing out public sector wages for the month of May before Eid Al Fitr.
Jordan is counting on international grants and assistance to overcome the effects of the pandemic on the country’s economy in parallel with an emergency borrowing to provide the necessary liquidity to face the crisis that have struck global economy.
Jordan is considered a successful model in responding to the outbreak of the Coronavirus among its citizens by taking strict precautionary measures since the emergence of the virus.
On Saturday, Jordan reached 522 of recorder coronavirus cases, 385 of which have recovered, and 9 registered deaths.
