Cleaners in Khartoum State went into an open strike since the Sunday, which was carried out at “Pepsi” intersection in the suburb of “Jabra” in the capital Khartoum to protest the deterioration of their conditions, and dozens of workers from various sectors broke the ban and participated in the demonstration despite the difficulty of movement.
According to press reports, the protesters raised banners in which they expressed their demands, the most prominent of which is the payment of the current month’s salary that the government has ordered to spend due to the conditions of the comprehensive ban.
Workers also demanded an increase in salaries and the provision of safety equipment, condemning financial and administrative corruption within the Khartoum locality.
