A working session was held between the General Syndicate of Electricity and Gas of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT by its French acronym) and the General Administration of the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company, to consider special instructions directed to human resources staff concerning compensation for overtime work during the single shift system within quarantine in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
Al-Shaab newspaper revealed that the two parties of the negotiation agreed to create a joint committee to draft leaflets and notices in light of this crisis, and to suspend the payment of all loans installments granted by the company for a period of three months, in the context of alleviating the burden of COVID-19 bared by the institution’s workers.
