Bailiffs in Morocco Calling for the Ministry of Justice to Digitize Judicial Documentation

The National Syndicate of Morocco’s bailifsf, which is under the banner of the General Union of Workers in Morocco, called on the Ministry of Justice to expedite the electronic dealings with the Judicial Documentation Institution and bypass traditional methods of work that have become a barrier to perform their work in the best conditions possible.

In a statement, the Syndicate stressed the necessity of adopting digitization as a national strategic option, calling on the government in coordination with the relevant sectors to accelerate taking firm measures, commensurate with the exceptional situation in the Kingdom, in order to accelerate the digital transformation of the administration and the judicial documentation facility, and to issue the necessary legislative and regulatory texts.

The statement also noted the role of the Ministry of Finance in facilitating the access of bailiffs to the electronic portal of the General Directorate of Taxes, and their involvement in electronic registration and authorization.

The Syndicate affirmed its response to the Judicial Documentation Facility throughout the Kingdom, by automatically complying with the health emergency voluntarily and a high spirit of responsibility and true citizenship. They also offered symbolic material help to the fund created by the king, closing their offices and freezing all their activities with the aim to contributing to the besiege of the pandemic in the nearest time possible.

The syndicate also highlighted that the exceptional situation revealed a set of immediate and urgent problems that will be imposed on various government sectors to redouble efforts to overcome and bypass them in a spirit of responsibility in order to preserve the public health of professionals, and to take urgent measures by the government and other sectors related to the practice of the profession, especially the Ministry of Justice, to ensure the preservation of the principle of the continuity of the judicial documentation facility and the performance of its duties towards citizens.

At the same time the Syndicate showed its appreciation of the proactive steps taken by the public authorities and the high national spirit of front-line soldiers in facing the pandemic, in various sectors and tasks without exception, reminding the National Agency for Real Estate and Cartographic Survey of the necessity to activate the legal requirements related to electronic exchange with all professionals without distinguishing between the practitioners documentation.
