The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Ibtihaj Al-Kamal issued a circular urging private sector facilities to reduce the number of employees except service sector facilities and the health sector, including hospitals, health centers, pharmacies and laboratories that provide services to patients.
In a statement to the Yemeni news agency (Saba), Al-Kamal stressed the necessity of not undermining the legal rights of workers that are being reduced because these measures are temporary until the completion of the precautionary measures taken by the government to confront the Corona virus.
The Minister of Social Affairs also directed a circular to associations and civil society institutions to harness their potential and efforts in spreading awareness of precautionary measures and ways to prevent corona virus, active participation in humanitarian relief efforts for any possible infections, and training teams to deliver aid to any areas where symptoms of the virus appear.
