The General Workers Union of Morocco decided to cancel its 60th anniversary celebration, which was programmed to take place on March 28th in Casablanca.
According to a press release issued by the General-Secretary of the General Union of Workers in Morocco, this decision “comes in implementation of the decisions issued by the government of an urgent nature to face the exceptional situation related to the risk of corona virus outbreak across the country”.
It was also decided to prohibit all demonstrations, from Thursday, 5 March 2020 to the end of the same month, in which people from abroad would participate, including lectures and cultural gatherings of any kind, as well as to prevent all demonstrations in which there’s a gathering of more than 1000 people in closed or specified places.
