The Qatari Council of Ministers decided to reduce the number of employees present at the workplace in government agencies to 20% of the total number of employees for each entity to complete the necessary work for the functioning and regularity of public facilities, while 80% of employees start their work remotely from their homes or upon request, as the case may be, as of Next Sunday for two weeks.
The council’s statement said that it was concluded during its regular meeting on Wednesday, that the situation will be evaluated during the two weeks mentioned to take the necessary decision, with the exception of the military, security and health sectors.
As mentioned in the statement, the meeting emphasised on observing that state projects are not affected and taking the necessary precautionary and preventive measures against the Corona virus, and that ministers and heads of agencies should take the necessary measures in this regard.
