The Executive Office of the General Health Syndicate of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) renewed its request to the Ministry of Health to provide the necessary means of protection for all professionals according to international standards, and announced its rejection of the medical committee’s estimation of this, especially as the infection became horizontal.
Al-Shaab newspaper said that the syndicate’s office called for speeding up the paths of COVID 19+ and COVID 19-, approving tests and early detection for professionals, setting up dispatched quotas as well as ensuring the transportation and accommodation of professionals due to the risks of returning to their homes.
On the other hand, the syndicate’s office called in the statement of the parliament member from the “Dignity Coalition” for the governorate of Sfax Mohamed Al-Afas to stop politicisation as the country is living in a difficult circumstance and to stop inciting against UGTT as well as its demonization.
UGTT noted that only the support of the Ministry of Health and all professionals in their war against the pandemic is allowed, calling on deputy AL-Afas to lend a hand as the people of the region need it instead of looking for provocation and creating crises.
The syndicate’s office did not miss to salute the general professionals in the sector and called on them to exert more effort to fortify the sector and consolidate its unity in preparation for the major battle that will increase its coordination against this pandemic.
