Dozens of drivers of transport vehicles operating on the “Karim” application launched a sit-in since last Sunday in front of the company administration building in “Irbid” in protest of raises in deduction rate for the company.
The Jordanian Labor Observatory stated on its website, citing statements by a number of drivers, that the company had raised this rate several times during the last period without informing them of that.
The drivers, who gathered from a number of governorates of the Kingdom to claim their rights, added that the company was taking advantage of them because they were unable to change their permit and work with other companies without the consent of the parent company.
