Yesterday, the sixth district municipality workers in Nasr City organized a protest in front of the district’s headquarters to protest the failure of the contractor with whom they worked to pay their salaries for about 3 months.
Workers had filed several complaints against the contractor who received the tender to dispose of the rubbish of the sixth district about a year ago, but he did not pay the salaries of the workers in the last three months on the pretext that the Cleaning and Beauty Commission had not disbursed the amounts due to him for that period.
Workers and Syndicates Services House reported on its official Facebook page that the workers filed a complaint with the Abbasid Cleaning and Beautification Authority, which told them that their problem was not that of the authority but rather with the contractor, and that he had received all of his financial dues, which prompted them to write a report No. 973 against him in the second section of Nasr City.
