The workers and employees of the Tunis District Railway Company are expected to enter a full strike on March 17 and 18 this year due to the continued intransigence of administrative structures and their lack of positive and serious handling of the demands they presented, despite the union side’s flexibility and sobriety as well as its endeavor to maintain a healthy social atmosphere.
Al-Shaab newspaper revealed that the company union has demanded the unpaid salaries for workers, implementation of records of previous agreements, activation of professional promotions, and implementation of Chapter 118 of the company's articles of association.
It also called for the respect of the requirements of social security and collection regarding employees and looking into the condition of equipment and supplies and improving working conditions.
