Protests against the forced retirement law in Iraq continue to occur weekly, in front of the Council of Ministers and Parliament.
It is known that the forced retirement law was announced for workers in Iraq for people who were born in 1957, 1958 and 1959 and born in 1960, and abolished the legal age of retirement 63 and made it 60 years, which affected more than 360.000 Iraqi citizens and their families both financially and morally, in addition to depriving them of many of their jobs’ benefits.
For more than a month, they protested daily in front of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, the Council of Ministers, and the High Judicial Council for the purpose of fulfilling the demands of all workers in Iraq and returning the right to its owners.
It is noteworthy that the government asked to postpone the implementation of the law by a year, the parliament passed it, and expelled workers from different job categories.
