The Jordanian Labor Observatory reported on its official website that dozens of workers in the nursing profession under the Ministry of Health, namely those working as: assistant nurse, co-nurse, nursing worker, holders of Diploma degrees, carried out a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Health to demand that they equate them with those holding a bachelor's degree.
The nurses demanded the raising of the technical allowance and joining the nurses' union, just like their other nursing colleagues working in the Ministry of Health, since they work in the same place and there is no difference between them regarding the nature of the work they do except they are holders of community colleges certificates.
The number of those working in the profession of associate and assistant nurses is about 3.500 nurses who are distributed on various centers and hospitals in Jordan.
