Yemen / Wadi Hadhramaut: The local authority did not react positively to the teachers ’demands

Wadi Hadramout teachers continue to strike open most schools for the third week in a row.

The Yemeni Mashhad website reported that the teachers are demanding the disbursement of financial dues, the structure of wages and salaries, and the solution of the contracting problem, which has caused an increase in the quotas for the teachers of a number of Wadi Hadramout districts.

In Hadhramaut coast, a number of educators went on strike three weeks ago, demanding that their demands be met regarding the issue of the nanny "Healing Salem" and the dismissal of the corrupt in the Education Office and the prevention of salary cuts for contractors.

It is noteworthy that the local authority and the offices of the Ministry of Education in Hadramout did not issue a clarification regarding the strike and its actions to solve the problems of educators and meet their demands.
