The Ministry of Finance announced that it has started to organize the official dates for paying public officials' salaries after these same dates have been brought forward in recent months.
The ministry will start paying the salaries of six million civil servants, via bank transfers, from January 23rd to January 30th .
For his part, the Minister of Finance said in media statements, called on all sectors of the state to pay employees on the dates scheduled by the ministry.
The department has decided to pay the arrears of December between January 8 and 12 and to increase the number of days for the payment of wages, in order to rationalize public spending.
As pensions are concerned, payment dates will be delayed since they are the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Security and not the Ministry of Finance.
