The administration of ‘Amanoor’ dismissed the secretary general of the union’s union office. Following this dismissal, the unions of Tangier, members of the Regional Union, met in the administration of the Union where they called on all activists to participate, overwhelmingly, in all the protests to be organized by the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT).
The dismissal of the union leader caused a large revolt in the company especially that the director of the company, Jean Luc Roudier, dismissed Abdelatif Arazi without any reason or any notice.
The employees of 'Amanoor' considered that the dismissal in question is a serious decision which is a provocation of the Moroccan authorities since the governor of the region intervened to manage the wage crisis and managed to end it by forcing the company to comply with the Moroccan Labor Code.
The director of ‘Amanoor’ was appointed to his post just two years ago and that his management of the company has always been a source of tension.
