In its statement, the mineral sector unions of the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions called for the issuance of an administrative unit specializing in negotiation affairs and collective work contracts and monitoring the implementation of these contracts in order to activate section 14 of the civil sector labor law concerned with collective negotiations.
The unions stressed that this would achieve optimal implementation of the law and activate negotiation between production parties as an alternative to disputes and interruption of the relationship between production parties, especially in light of some companies in the mineral sector giving up the negotiation mechanism or not applying them in the parts concerned with the level of representation in negotiation between the employer And the union or the topics that are being negotiated and how to implement what the two sides reached during their negotiations.
The unions mentioned also welcomed the decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the establishment of a mechanism for coordination between the relevant government parties in the event of an unresolved labor complaint, in order to avoid the multiplicity of dispute resolution bodies outside the judicial system that the worker or employer may resort to, stressing the importance of preserving the rights of workers and owners Work, and the decision to organize an individual labor dispute resolution device, which aims to conduct a friendly settlement of individual conflict between the worker and the employer with the consent of both parties and before resorting to the judiciary in order to reduce the number of cases before the judiciary, which determines the organization of this device and the course of work in it and a condition Proceed with the settlement procedures.
The joint statement was signed by the workers union of "Alba", the general labor union of a steel group, the Bahrain International Company for Metal Spray, the union "Garmco" and the "Medal" union for metal wires.
