The Parliamentary Services Committee discussed the amendment to the Labor Code relating to the private sector at its 7th meeting. In this context, the chairman of the Committee, MP Mamdouh Salah, explained in a press release that the discussion of the law concerns the addition of a new paragraph [C] to section 32 of the Labor Code of private sector published by law number 36 of the year 2012.
Mamdouh Salah indicated that during its meeting, the Committee presented the executive summary and the government visions presented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the Ministry of Health, the High Council for Women, the Chamber of Commerce Bahrain Industrial Association and the General Federation of Bahrain Workers. Following this, the Committee decided to send correspondence to interested parties.
Furthermore, the Committee studied the draft law on traditional products on the basis of the bill presented by the Parliament. The Parliamentary Services Committee presented the views of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, the Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the National Industries Subsidy Committee before preparing its final report.
