Morocco: Teachers resume protests

The teachers resumed their protests in the streets of Rabat and threatened to escalate the movements if the ministry continues to refuse to initiate dialogue to resolve the crisis that threatens the interests of Moroccan students. Recall that for the second time during this year, Minister Said Amzazi postponed the negotiation session, scheduled for next Wednesday, with union representatives and dedicated to the 22 points of inquiry from professionals in the sector.

In a statement given to the online newspaper 'Hespress', Abdelgahni Raki, secretary-general of the National Education Union under the Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT), explained that the current situation risks leading to the scenario of l 'last year since protests started at the start of the school year. The complainant added that unions are likely to resort to even more intense protests.

The secretary-general of the National Education Union explained that the ministry canceled the Wednesday session without presenting any explanation before two days from the date.

The union leader said the situation is likely to get worse especially since 22 files are still blocked. In this context, Abdelgahni Raki called on the Ministry of National Education to take responsibility for the situation and not to forget that the big loser in this crisis remains the Moroccan student.
