Over December 17-18, workers and employees of the Al-Etisaliyah Services Company launched a national strike to protest against the continued deprivation of their legal wage increases.
The newspaper "People" reported that workers and employees gathered in front of the headquarters of the Tunisian General Labor Union in the capital before they headed in a march to the runways of the municipal theater in Habib Bourguiba Street, where they raised slogans condemning their ignorance and striking their right to increases in wages and eroding their purchasing power in light of the skyrocketing prices.
The Ministry of Supervision and Management insists on refusing to enable workers to receive their outstanding financial entitlements for the years 2017, 2018, and 2019.
The institution has been living for a period of time in tension and contempt in all its branches in the governorates of the country, to deny that the public administration and the supervisory authority are ignoring the activation of their right to increase salaries and evading the completion of negotiations on the institution's agreement in all its organizational, financial and social aspects.
The company agents also demand the sending of the social fund and the payment of the promotion due with its retroactive effect.
