The workers of the National Industrial and Mining Company (SNIM) organized a protest rally on December 15 in front of the company's various establishments in Zouerate and Alruwaysat.
In this context, the online newspaper ‘Al Akhbar’ reported that the protesters demanded that the SNIM medical clinic have the necessary medicines and that the prevention tools are respected at company level.
The protesters explained that a work accident occurs every month or two and that the compensation offered to the injured is insignificant and almost symbolic.
The online newspaper 'Al Akbar' explained that the last victims of these accidents were entitled to hollow compensation like the late Mahmoud Ouled Sbeï whose family received only symbolic compensation while Moussa Sbali and Rabbah Ouled Mimoun were unable to benefit from the necessary care for their medical care.
