Tunisia: Strike at the ‘Subutex’ factory

The newspaper ‘Achaab’ reported that workers at the ut Subutex ’plant in the town of Ras Jebel decided to observe a labor strike on December 23 and 24.

The strike decision came after social tensions at the factory where workers were prevented from working over November 22-23. In this context, the trade union party called for an end to these oppressive and irresponsible practices which worsen professional and social problems.

The factory workers claim their right to the end-of-year bonus, exceptional promotions, transportation bonus and a fixed date for payment of wages.
