The Moroccan Union of Labor (UMT) decided to organize a series of protests in December 2019 following the dismissal of workers at Mohamed V International Airport because of their trade union membership. In this context, Miloudi Mkhouriq, Secretary-General of the UMT, called during the National Council last Wednesday, the local offices of cities where airports are to organize protest rallies to support the dismissed workers.
Miloudi Mkhouriq insisted on the importance of union between unionists in all sectors in order to cope with the aggressions suffered by their colleagues by organizing protest marches and by publishing support statements.
In addition, the UMT decided to organize protest rallies in public places, to suspend work at different times in vital areas and to prepare a plan to fight against forms of oppression and violation of union freedoms.
