Morocco: Ground Service Agents at Mohammed V Airport Protest

The ground service agents at the Mohammed V International Airport held a protest rally on Wednesday before the headquarters of Royal Air Maroc in Casablanca. The agents, members of the Moroccan Union of Labor (UMT), explained that the airline does not respect the collective agreement signed on June 25 and that it has dismissed ground service agents.

In this context, the unified office of ground service agents at Mohammed V International Airport has decided to organize a series of protests during the current month in the regions of Nouasseur and Anafa.

The union office accused the Royal Air Maroc administration in Casablanca and the RAM Handling and Atlas Services companies of being responsible for the social tensions at the Mohammed V airport and adding that if all the union requests and at their head the reengagement of the dismissed agents, were not approved, the agents will have to escalate their movement.
