Saudi Arabia: Transfer and renewal of residence permit for three Egyptians

The representative office of the workers at the Egyptian consulate in Jeddah announced the transfer of the kefala from three Egyptian workers who renewed their residence permit.

Local media reported that the Minister of Labor commissioned the representative office in Jeddah to intervene to solve the problem of the three Egyptians who worked for one of the food production companies by transferring their kefala and renewing their residence cards, at the expense of the workers.

Othman Ramadan, a counselor at the consulate in Jeddah, explained that he had met with the employer to understand the reasons for refusing the transfer for the three workers. Following this, the consulate office contacted all the agents with debts and succeeded, after five weeks of follow-up with the citizens and the managers of the businesses, to liquidate all the debts and to transfer the workers.
