On Monday, teachers and all employees of the education sector in the western region organized a protest rally in front of the Presidential Council in Tripoli, demanding the dismissal of Minister of Education Osman Abed and the implementation of Law No. 4, and announced the closure of schools and education offices in Libya until the implementation of the law.
Earlier this month, we covered the protests of teachers, which started a long time ago in several cities and regions in Libya to demand the implementation of Law No. 4 of the House of Representatives in 2018 on the increase in the salaries of the administrative and educational structure of the education sector, in addition to demanding the separation of the Ministry of Education from higher education as well as health insurance as other sectors.
