The Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) has called for the resumption of negotiations in the private sector and the cancellation of the revision of the class. The trade union center explained that the negotiations, at the organizational level, must be resumed with the revision of the collective agreements.
In a statement issued by its expanded executive board, the UGTT called on the government to implement agreements signed with different sectors and to respect its commitments to the social partner in order to maintain social peace.
On the other hand, the executive office of the UGTT also congratulated the new President of the Republic, Kais Said, on his position on the criminalization of standardization and called on him to present a legislative initiative in this direction.
The UGTT denounced the demonization carried out by certain political parties that are hostile to union work supported by some journalists. The UGTT strongly condemned the desecration of the portrait of Martyr Farhat Hached and the threats against the Secretary-General of the Regional Labor Union in Sfax.
