The newspaper 'Achaab' unveiled, in its latest issue, that the mayor of the Kram municipality, located in the capital Tunis, ordered last week, the seizure of the officers' union office, the destruction of its walls and the confiscation of its equipment. The mayor has appointed one of his relatives, whom he recently appointed to the municipality, for this task.
In a statement given to the newspaper, Makram Amairia, secretary-general of the General Federation of Municipalities of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), explained that this decision is an attack on the workers, against the labor union and against previously signed agreements. And add that the union will not remain without reacting to these attacks and that all legal measures will be taken.
