The National Union of Public Transport, under the umbrella of the General Union of Workers of Morocco (UGTM), threatened to start protest movements to emphasize the seriousness of the situation faced by the sector and the silence of the relevant Ministry.
The Union denounced the attitude of the responsible ministry, which has still not responded to the requests of professionals in the sector and explained that the same ministry has committed itself, last July, to study all the cases and problems of the sector. However, the department chose to ignore its commitments and opt for the flight forward ignoring the impact of its practices on social peace and on the interests of professionals and companies in the sector.
The National Union of Public Transport has also stated that it is prepared to continue the dialogue if the department undertakes to treat the issue with all the necessary seriousness by giving justice to professionals and protecting them from unfair competition they have been facing for more than a year. At the end of its press release, the National Union emphasized that the commitments of the Ministry, in the context of the study of files relating to the short lines, have never been fulfilled.
