Iran: 3.5 million people are working illegally

A member of Iran's Supreme Labor Council said that 3.5 million people are working illegally in the country.

The 'Tasnim' news agency reported that these people work in parallel workshops without any identity and by signing invalid contracts. These workers, usually on behalf of subcontracting companies, are dismissed as soon as they oppose the nature of their contract.

The revelation by the member of the Iranian Supreme Labor Council reflects the disastrous situation of millions of workers in Iran as the country continues to experience widespread protests and strikes opposed to the poor working conditions.
