An electrician from the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) died yesterday, Thursday, while carrying out maintenance work in the region of Sidi Youssef on the island of Kerkennah.
According to sources, the victim did not have the necessary security tools and had not cut off electricity before starting work.
The body of the victim was suspended for more than two hours before the arrival of the rescue teams.
