Mohammad Kamal, the lawyer of workers in the White Cement factory in Menya, confirmed that there are 150 labor lawsuits in the court to restore the factory workers' rights.
He added in press statements that the Public Administration Committee for Labor Relations in the Ministry of Labor met with representatives of the ministry, representatives of Cleopatra Company for Building Materials Industries and representatives of workers for negotiation and try to solve disputes concerning the wages of workers and other rights, but he was surprised by the strange behavior of representatives of the company by their illogical answers that they are still paying the basic wages only for workers until the judiciary decides on their cases
He pointed out that representatives of Cleopatra Company for Building Materials Industries withdrew and refused to sign the minutes of the labor force meeting, while the workers are performing their duties and that the factory is working at full capacity despite the workers' payment of their basic salaries only.
He explained that the workers at the factory have been arriving daily to the Police Station since August and had received basic payments minus all incentives and allowances and even less than the basic, for reporting and case-proofing these facts in addition to filing complaints in the Labor Office.
