It is expected that workers and employees of the municipalities of Bekaa will go on strike as from next Wednesday and as long as the Ministry of Finance does not pay the dues of municipalities from the revenues of the Independent Municipal Fund, as four months have elapsed without receiving their salaries.
Workers' representatives apologized in a statement addressed to the residents of the city and announced that all work will be suspended.whether in collecting or lifting the wastes or completing the operations, before receiving their salaries and dues.
