Palestine- Nablus: A delegation from the International Labor Organization (ILO) overviews the situation of Palestinian workers

The Palestinian news and information agency mentioned that on (Monday,) in the Union headquarters in Nablus, discussed the Palestinian workers' situation with a delegation from the International Labor Organization (ILO).

The delegations included The Union's Secretary General, Shaher Saad, members of the Executive Committee as well as heads of the general unions members of the Federation of Trade Unions. From the International Organization, attended the regional officer in the Office of Workers' Activities in the Arab Region, Nizam Qahoush, and the adviser of social protection legislation and laws of the Organization Arsola Kolke.

During the meeting, Saad appreciated the role played by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in promoting the social dialogue between the three Palestinian production parties, in order to serve the workers and their trade union organizations.

From his side Mohamed Atawna, member of the Federation Executive Committee, responsible for information and publishing department , said that the ILO delegation listened to the needs of workers and their unions in their trade union struggle for legislation, laws, labor regulations and updated fair national social protection, that should be in line with the international labor standards and consistent with the trade union freedoms and rights applied in the ILO, as well as strengthening the international organization's contribution to

promoting solidarity with Palestinian workers and their pressing and just national and social issues, and supporting the union and trade unions through education programs, training and increasing trade union membership.
