Al-Madina newspaper reported, quoting trusted sources, that the cleaning agents of one of the private companies contracted with the Ministry of Health suspended work in the health department and some hospitals and medical centers in Mecca due to the fact that their salaries have been unpaid for six months. For its part, the Ministry of Health blamed the subcontractor for violating all articles. The online newspaper explained that the fact that the works were granted to a single private company made the situation worse because the succession could not be assured.
For his part, the spokesman of the health department of the Mecca region, Ahmed Fihan Atibi, said the ministry has taken the necessary corrective measures claiming that the private company has obtained all its financial rights and received a final warning. He added that the workers' wages will be released through the working committee of the city's labor office.
