According to WAFA news agency, the Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammad Shtayyeh, met with the Secretary-General of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), Sharan Burrow, with the presence of the Secretary-General of the Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions, Shaher Saad.
Shtayyeh discussed with Burrow the situation of Palestinian workers, especially those working in ‘Israel’, the difficult working conditions they face, and the issue of the Israeli thefts of their dues.
Shtayyeh called on the unions to pressure their countries, which did not recognize the state of Palestine and to urge them to save the two countries and establish a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders in the face of the expansionist Israeli plans.
The Prime Minister also discussed the promotion of joint cooperation through the supporting of the establishment of development projects that would contribute to the reduction in the unemployment rate among the Palestinian youth, as well as the supporting of the establishment of a technical university to match the university graduates’ skills with the labour market needs.
