It is expected that the Ministry of Finance will start paying the salaries of 6 million employees, starting from next month (August 8), before Eid al-Adha.
An official at the Ministry of Finance confirmed in a statement to the “Youm 7” website, that the state employees’ salaries are generally paid from the 24th to the 28th of each month, explaining that in case that one of those days is an official holiday, the workers’ salaries are paid a day at 12 pm. Moreover, he pointed out that during the official holidays, the payment days are published.
According to “Youm 7” website the Ministry of Finance started to pay the state workers’ salaries for this month, starting from last Sunday, July 14, for 5 days, for about 6 million citizens, through banks and bank transfers, according to government sources.
The same sources confirmed that the increases that followed the payment of salaries, for this month included the raising in the minimum wage from 1200 pounds to 2000 pounds, and the disbursement of new allowances.
