The RCAR (Collective pension system) will protest on July 16 at 11:am in Rabat, following a call by the National Front for Reforming the Social Security’s Pensions, affiliated to the Moroccan Workers Union. The protest comes to denounce the very low pensions of the RCAR adherents.
The Front demands equity between RCAR adherents and CMR’s (Moroccan Retirement Fund) despite the fact that they had the same responsibilities as public servants. It also asks for the retirement age to be prolonged by 5 years instead of 1, for workers to choose whether they want to work longer or not, and to calculate the pensions on the basis of all the working years and the average of the 8 last years of work.
The Front insisted on the importance of suppressing the wage ceiling because it is unfair to retirees and to compensate the retirees by accepting their demands and opening a serious dialogue with the authorities.
