The Democratic Confederation of Labour (CTD) decided to launch a national campaign to sign petitions, calling for the withdrawal of the new bill against strikes.
According to trade union sources, the campaign will be launched starting this weekend with the holding of confederation councils by local and regional unions. This campaign will continue until the deadline set by the executive office (September 8, 2019), where all the petitions will be collected and several labour protests will be held.
The confederation believes that Saadeddine Ottomani’s government already plans to restrict and violate the gains and rights of workers, including mainly the right to strike and bargain collectively. Therefore, it decided to face these restrictive and unfair decisions, such as the draft Regulatory Law No. 15. 97 to determine the conditions of the right to strike.
