Noureddine Taboubi, the General Secretary of the Tunisian General Labour Union declared on Tuesday July 2nd that the Union will commit to defend migrants working in agriculture, services and construction by providing them, for the first time, with a specific trade union structure and delivering them symbolic affiliation cards that guarantee them their economic and social rights.
Al Charaa Al Magharibi website quoted Taboubi who said during the Fifth Mediterranean Subsaharan Migration Trade Union Network (RSMMS) that the Tunisian Union (UGTT) will defend equality in rights and wages between migrant and Tunisian workers.
