The National Postal and Logistics Federation, affiliated to the Moroccans Workers Union, decided a two-day national strike starting from Thursday.
The Federation demand the implementation of the wage increases for all postal workers according to the decree number 2.19.462 published in the official gazette number 6790 on June 27 2019. The Federation is protesting against the delay of the administration who shows reluctance to convoke the administrative committees to discuss the graduated pay scales system.
The Federation expresses its refusal of the unilateral and unclear declaration about the basic status concerning the discharge system, denouncing that many people got excluded and deprived from their right a benefit from it.
work and insists that every postal category is intitled to claim its rights and benefit from the career ladder with retroactive effect starting from January 1st 2017 to January 1st 2019.
The Federation asks to guarantee every graduated person’s right to full integration, including technicians who don’t hold the baccalaureate diploma and denounces the non-respect of the senior workers’ right to get promoted or to be candidate to higher offices. The Federation finally demands to settle the situation of postal workers who were dismissed from position of responsibilities from 2017 to 2019 and the implementation of the decree issued by the president of the government through the Ministry of Administration’s and Public Service’s Reform, concerning the right for breast feeding mothers to get an hour off during 18 months after the maternity leave.
