The president of the Oil and Petrochemical Industries Workers Confederation, Mohamed Hajiri, said that the oil workers’ wages in Kuwait are too law and much lower than the wages of oil workers in the region and in the world despite the harsh work conditions.
In an interview, the president talked about the very high temperature of the oil fields where the heat can reach 55 Celsius degrees, the violent sandstorms and other elements that the workers struggle with in order to keep the Kuwaiti oil’s production at its best.
