The workers of " Wakt el Djazair" organized a protest on June 19th in front of the Press House "Tahir Gaout" in the capital, to denounce the difficult financial and professional conditions of the group.
The protesters affirmed they have not been paid for more than three months, as well as some of them were dismissed, whereas others are threatened to be expelled, in the coming weeks.
The website added that the workers were surprised by the suspension of the broadcast of the TV channel "Dzair News" and according to their statements, they were not informed of its.
After contacting the responsible of the group, the officials explained that the interruption of the broadcast was due to the end of the contract for broadcasting on the satellite, since June 16th 2018, and that the contracting party had approved on continuing the broadcast until June 25th, which is the date for the termination of the broadcast.
The workers of the " Wakt el Djazair" complex considered that these statements were unconvincing, asking fora negotiating session, and a dialogue to settle this issue.
