The Arab New Network website revealed the suffering of a number of Egyptian workers with their Kuwaiti sponsor, who deprived them of residence permits, work permits and civil cards for more than 5 months and let them live in inappropriate housing conditions.
The workers confirmed to the website that this has been the case, since their arrival in Kuwait five months ago, calling the authorities to solve their problem as soon as possible.
The website quoted a worker's testimony: "We are 60 people, who arrived in Kuwait ,five months ago, and we were supposed to work in delivery, but nothing happened as we had no accommodation or some money for eating and drinking, although that the sponsor got more than 20000 dinars”. He ignored their conditions for the pretext of not having the necessary money and called them to live in the street.
He added that they fear for their future, and they are reluctant to make a complaint, worrying of losing their money, calling on the officials to intervene and stop this injustice.
