Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions: is against the Deal of The Century and the Bahrain conference

The Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions called on the trade unions in the Arab and international world to pressure their countries not to participate in the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, in reference to the Manama conference.

The union said in a statement issued yesterday that the United States are still working on the passing of the Manama conference, aiming at the Arab and regional support (the Deal of The Century) and the declaration of Al-Quds as the capital of ‘Israel’ and the declaration of the annexation of the Golan; as well as the attempts to annex the West Bank and stop the support for the UNRWA Refugees jeopardizing the right of return and to encourage Israel to annex Israeli settlements in the West Bank to ‘Israel’.

The union affirmed it its statement: "The targeting of the Palestinian cause by promoting economic prosperity and the attempts to turn the Palestinian cause into a humanitarian issue, and economic investment, moving away from the political essence of the issue, as well as the non-implementation of the UN resolutions, namely the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence and the guarantee of the right of return. It is clear that the main aim of the US administration is to oppose the national cause through this policy. "

The statement added that the national consensus rejecting the Bahrain conference, which calls for normalization and the betrayal of all participants in the Manama conference, confirms that the promoters have conspirators on Palestine and the nation, in contradiction to the Arab resolutions on the Palestinian cause and even the resolutions of the Beirut Arab summit.

The union stressed that this conference’s support is not to support the Palestinian position that rejects the conference and the Deal of The Century, but is rather intended to bribe the Palestinian people to replace their national rights with suspicious investments, pointing out that more than half of it will go to fund the resettlement projects for the Palestinian refugees in the surrounding Arab countries. Consequently, this will be a threat to the social fabric of both Jordan and Lebanon, therefore, the future of the region.
